About
The Way of Coffee is a personal blog that revolves a lot around coffee and food, because my life revolves a lot around coffee and food.
As for me: I’m a transplanted Southerner in his 30′s living in Seattle with a novelist wife and a fat black cat. I’m a coffee roaster by trade–I own Fremont Coffee Company in Seattle, Washington–and in addition to roasting and selling single-origin Fair Trade coffees, I also cook recreationally and often.
The Way of Coffee regularly features recipes for coffee drinks and simple food dishes. Some of the recipes are mine, but most are just my personal riffs on existing dishes. For the record, I don’t claim that any particular recipe on this site is original to me unless explicitly stated.
Although food is a theme at Way of Coffee, it’s still a personal blog. Some of the content won’t be about food. Sometimes it’ll be about what I’m reading over my morning cup of coffee, or what I’m watching over the dinner I made, or what I’m listening to over a glass of wine or decent bourbon. Even the recipe posts will probably contain a bunch of meandering anecdotes. In mixing it all together (hence the title of “the Way”), I try my best not to be boring, but you get what you pay for.
