“Color-Coded” Coffee?
If you’re a casual coffee or tea drinker, you may have a problem getting the right amount of cream in there–sure, it’s easy to say “I take two teaspoons of milk”, but different serving sizes will give you different results with that amount.
That’s the idea behind the MyCuppa coffee and tea mugs designed by the unfortunately-named company Suck UK. Pantone-style swatches on the side of the cup tell you when you’ve poured enough milk in to reach your desired level.
It’s a cute idea, and useful if you make a lot of coffee and tea at home. My one reservation (besides the fact that I always drink my coffee black, heh) is that learning the proprietary color names such as “Classic British” and “Builder’s Brew” probably won’t help much if you ask for them at your local shop, unless your barista/waiter has one of these mugs hidden under the counter for reference.

I should get one of these cups for my husband — I don’t want him to stop bringing me coffee in bed, but I can’t seem to make him understand what “just a little bit” of cream is. I just want to mellow it, not drown it!
