The Way of Coffee Is Expanding

If you’ve been wondering why I’ve been a little quieter these past few weeks, I assure you it’s not because I’m drifting away or losing interest.

In fact, it’s very much the opposite: I’m excited to tell you that I’m in process of procuring a proper location in the Fremont neighborhood of Seattle, WA, for Way of Coffee to offer coffee consulting services, cupping classes, staff training, and…wait for it…wholesale roasted coffee.

Things are still being sorted so I can’t give any more details at the moment, but I’m far closer to an opening date than not. I’ll say that a local coffee business owner has expressed interest in expanding into roasting and training services, and is essentially bringing WoC in-house for this purpose. I’ll update with concrete details once we’ve officially finalized the legal status of our working arrangement. I’m honestly not sure yet if it’ll be under this business name, his business name, or something else, though of course Coffee Tao will continue to operate as normal in any case.

There’ll be a little reworking of this site to accommodate/advertise our physical location and services once we’re all done, but otherwise posting will continue as normal. If you don’t hear from me for a few days, I’m probably busy building a cupping table or installing a La Marzocco, but I’ll keep you updated on our progress with pics and anecdotes. :)

I’m very excited about the imminent future, and I hope to have something concrete to show you very soon.

Very exciting! How soon will you be making an order of astounding furniture from BWC? ;)

Exciting!

Um, what’s a cupping table?

As soon as I make my first quarter-mil. ;)

Chaz–

A cupping table is usually a high, round table large enough for several people to sit at it and cup coffees. It’s really just a table, but we’ve got a cool copper-topped one we’ll be using that we need to build a base for.
